Perspectives on computing ethics: a multi-stakeholder analysis

Purpose Computing ethics represents a long established, yet rapidly evolving, discipline that grows in complexity and scope on near-daily basis. Therefore, to help understand some of it is essential incorporate range perspectives, from stakeholders, current emerging ethical challenges associated with computer technology. This study aims achieve this by using, three-pronged, stakeholder analysis Computer Science academics, ICT industry professionals, citizen groups was undertaken explore what they consider be crucial computing concerns. The overlap between these are explored, as well whether their concerns reflected the existing literature. Design/methodology/approach Data collection performed using focus groups, data analysed thematic analysis. also determine if there were overlaps literature stakeholders’ attitudes towards ethics. Findings results group show mixture overlapping different unique each specific groups.
